It so happens that my trusty old monitor was becoming less trusty by the day and less and less usable, but even so I feel sightly indulged with this new monitor I’ve bought. Compared with the 17 inch Iiyama I had previously, it seems like there’s screen everywhere I look. I have a 19 inch monitor at work, but I’m sure the viewable area must be far smaller than this thing.
Don’t you just hate it when essential technology dies and you are forced to replace it with something new and wonderful? Damn it.

The major disadvantages of TFT are cost (the same money would have only got me a 15 inch TFT), and quality. Consumer grade TFT screens are basically industrial grade TFTs that have failed quality assurance. That is to say, they’re always imperfect.
